For this last exercise (hip-hip-hooray!) I accessed world ebook fair and listened to 'Briar Rose' (I loved that story as a child) as a MP3 download through my PC. I looked for 'Cranford' by Elizabeth Gaskell but found only html text version.
I was a little frustrated trying to get a look at the indexes for the various collections which i would like to browze before deciding whether to subscribe. The indexes weren't easy to use.
While accessing the Gutenberg Project a box came up asking for a response to a Reference Library Project. I sent off a test question and a week later got an answer, apparently mine was the first question from all over the world! (It was the correct answer also, I checked)
Another website i have used is http://www.audible.com/ , i found 'cranford' there. There is also www.emusic.com/audiobooks/index.html. emusic is a music download site but has recently added audio books. i didn't have much time to explore this one so i will get back to it later.
By accident i found a great podcast on the following website which can be downloaded as an audiobook. see http://www.grandfathersgreatwar.com/
It is the unpublished diary of a soldier at the Somme.
Via bloglines i found an interesting article critical of accuracy of wikis: (common sense really)

Well I'm finally finished, can't believe it and it only took me a month longer than everyone else!
